Born in Akaeze, Ebonyi State, Nigeria, and currently based in Ghana, Yuppie Dan’s love for music began at tender age, singing as part of the Presbyterian Church of God choir at St. Andrews Cathedral, Akaeze. back to 2016, he later developed his craft as a songwriter in Lagos, Nigeria.
Despite financial challenges that made it impossible to further his education, Yuppie Dan poured his energy into music—writing songs for years before recording his first studio track in 2020.
His journey has taken him across states in Nigeria—from Lagos to Abia, then Ogun—before finally relocating to Ghana in 2024 in search of greener pastures and freedom to fully pursue his career. With no financial sponsors or external support, Yuppie Dan remains motivated by his dreams, his faith, and his family, often reminding himself and his listeners to “Know your worth, work hard, and believe in God and yourself.”
His artistry is deeply rooted in his real-life journey—drawing inspiration from personal challenges, family, accountability, and the relentless pursuit of success. This passion reflects in his lyrics, which balance vulnerability, motivation, and a streetwise perspective that resonates strongly with young listeners across Africa and beyond.
Yuppie Dan’s breakthrough moment came with his cover of “Achalugo,” a track originally made popular by “Don Jazzy's Mavin Records artist “Boy Spyce” and rap star “Jeriq”. The cover gained impressive traction, crossing 50,000 streams on Audiomack in just 30 days—a milestone that marked him as a rising star. Today, he is on the mission to spreading his Music Talent and passion through his debut album, “Oluwa First Son,” and his other standouts single like: “Show Love,” and “Today” Featuring “Vibekid Lyrics” which is available now on all digital streaming platforms.
